IMAGES WITH IMPACT
cologne, germany
Dorothea Lange once said "The camera is an instrument that teaches you how to see without a camera."
This quote, as cheesy as it might be, encapsulates perfectly what drives me to do visual art.
Be it still or moving images, I always aim to carve out what a moment felt like, rather than just what it looked like. Because an image either captures a piece of a story that actually existed or invites the viewer to fill it with their own. Either way, an image often is larger than life, more than a press of a button.
